UPDATE: "Ignore Time Zones" setting coming to Sync2Folders Lite soon

A new Sync2Folders Lite with the settings discussed below has been pushed to the Microsoft Store and should be available in the next 24 hours. It's version 2.0.1 (as displayed in the About box in the app).

We're currently working on two new settings for Sync2Folders Lite:

  • Ignore time zones
  • Ignore milliseconds

Ignore Time Zones

Enabling this new setting will allow Sync2Folders Lite to determine two files match if the minutes, seconds, and milliseconds match, and the date is within one day, and hour is within 24 hours.

This is a substantial change that will affect all comparisons of file time's, so it's taking some time to test.

Ignore Milliseconds

Sometimes two files will be thought to not match because of issues where the milliseconds don't match when one file is on a computer's internal HDD, for example, and another is on an SD card or removable drive. If you find this issue sometimes affects you, you can enable this setting and milliseconds will always be ignored.

Coming As Soon as Possible

Most of the development effort is complete, and it was a complete rewrite of what used to be a relatively simple comparison of modified date/times, but testing is ongoing. We should have an updated app in the next couple of weeks.
